Dear Region's Sons and Daughters,
It’s 2008 Come Home Year in your home town and we are preparing for a full year of celebrations! We welcome our region's sons and daughters, our friends and relatives, both new and old, and from far and away, to participate and experience our unique heritage and take part in our legendary festivals; historic garden parties; Newfie Nights; concerts as well as picturesque coastal scenery; hiking trails and experience our greatest attribute “our people”. The Come Home 2008 committee are diligently planning a variety of events to showcase everything that makes all our towns; Holyrood, Harbour Main\Lakeview\Chapel’s Cove, Avondale, Conception Harbour, Colliers, Marysvale, Georgetown and Brigus the unique destination it truly is.
Take this time to reflect on your heritage and culture, childhood memories with friends and family. The residents that still remain in your home towns are so excited to play host to all travelers in 2008.
